JANY FONG CHUI NEE

A graduate from the University of Adelaide, South Australia and the Founding Partner of the firm, she started her journey in legal profession as a paralegal in Messrs Thomas Philip and passed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) which led to her admission as an advocate and solicitor in Malaysia in 2015.


Jany focuses on civil & commercial disputes and represent local as well as international clients through litigation, arbitration and adjudication proceedings. She has also assisted senior counsel in several shareholder disputes including successfully winding up a company when there is a deadlock in shareholder and management level. She was also successful in obtaining an order for sale in a protracted ad complex litigation dispute. Her work has been reported in several law journals.


Jany is also engaged in corporate advisory work for local and regional clients. She is regularly involved in several corporate exercises, including mergers and asset acquisitions. She has also helped identify merger opportunities for her clients and negotiated settlement terms for shareholders exiting the company in addition to assisting SME clients in advisory and compliance works to avoid regulatory actions. She also offers clients representation in cross border transaction, primarily between Malaysia and China.

She assists her clients in the a responsive manner, giving practical and cost-effective solution whilst giving her utmost attention to the Client's wants and needs.

MOHD AZINUDDIN BIN KARIM

Mohd Azinuddin Abd Karim graduated with a First-Class Degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2010 and was admitted to the Malaysia Bar in April 2011. He further obtained a Master of Laws in Banking Law & Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics & Political Science in December 2014.


Azinuddin started off his legal journey in commencing his pupillage at Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co, before joining Messrs Thomas Philip in April 2011. Soon thereafter, joining Jany Fong in May 2017 to start Messrs J Nee to the inception of Messrs J Nee & Azinuddin Karim in May 2021.


His practice areas range from construction claims, arbitration, negligence, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, constitutional reference cases and civil fraud. He has assisted senior counsel as well as conducted trials and appeals at all levels, with several cases reported in law journals.

Azinuddin also provides corporate advisory services and is appointed on a retainer basis for several corporations. In addition to legal practice, he has also conducted courses for Malaysia Airport Berhad officers and is appointed as an external lecturer for a local public university. He was also one of the International Judges for Memorials in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (International Rounds) 2014.
